Hide to Show
Hide To Show is Michael Beil’s third composition for NADAR. It was commissioned by Siemens and by Concertgebouw Brugge.
Hide To Show is a new scenic composition about being alone in a room, syncing with others without seeing them, it is about being observed, about making yourself visible or invisible and replacing yourself in many ways. Hide to show is also a lecture about hyperreality, about how virtual stuff that never existed is copied and pasted into our so called reality.
The composition is also a journey into Belgian New Music (acid) and a research about copying and covering on Youtube by following the history of Ievan Pollka form Russia to Japan.
